We have a ghost!

Hi everyone,

So, its been an interesting month for everyone here in my house. We recently moved into a 3BR 2BTH house in a much older part of the city. The house itself if gorgeous and was built sometime in the late 20's. We've noticed the usual: floorboard creaks, doors opening themselves, etc. All of these things can be explained by the fact that the house itself is much older and has settled way out of its original form.

The things we can't explain, however, tend to be a little more bizarre. In the first week of living here, my roommate's cat turned completely schizo on us. She refused to be alone in the house and would sit and wail at closed doors. Normally a very friendly cat, she would stare at hiss at a specific corner in the living room, and refused to let any of us touch her. Her owner, being a vet-tech, attributed this all to the stress of moving until we started to notice a pattern: she would be loving and friendly, and then her eyes would divert, almost as though she was looking at someone behind us and hiss and spit. Unfortunately, she ran away yesterday and has not come back yet.

Another interesting occurrence is the frequency of objects being "appropriated" from where we have them and being moved all over the house. We have come downstairs now a few times to find one of the dining room chairs sitting all by its lonesome in the middle of the living room floor. This seems to be the room where most of the activity is centered. The radio in the kitchen has more than once turned itself on at full volume at 3 a.m. to blast 1430 Am (a station here that plays original radio broadcasts from the 40's, commercials and all).

We have checked the house for high EMF, but unfortunately, couldn't really find any. Even though it is an older home, the landlord is a handyman and apprentice electrician - the wiring has been insulated fairly well.

Finally, one of my friends pulled out her digital recorder and we tried an EVP session. Surprisingly, we did get a result. At several points in the tape, the entity says the word "rabbit". We've yet to figure out why it is only saying this word but it suggests a residual haunt (not sure, but that's my opinion.) The only prob is: if it is a residual haunt, why does all of the activity display an intelligent intent? I will post the audio file on the blog as soon as we are able to get the file from her.

Does anyone have any suggestions? This whole situation has really been fascinating and nobody is scared - just angry that it scared the cat away.

K2 Meters

So everyone,

Got a K2 meter just to play around with it and I've noticed a few things that should be made a note of:

First, if you're going to buy a K2 meter like the one shown on Ghost Hunters, make sure that you get yours at: http://www.k2emfmeter.com this is the same company that GH has contracted to supply their devices. They honestly do make the best.

If you're going to pick one up, I highly suggest that you do some research first to find the best available product to suit your needs. For this - we chose to go with K2 meters.com (link above) Since we live in the Denver area, testing it out was going to be easy and fun as that there are several places to do that here like: Brown Palace Hotel (built in 1916, the first tallest structure in Denver) the Stanley Hotel (just plain creepy, built in 1904) and Mesa Verde (ancient Native American city, completely deserted for no apparent reason.)

More updates as I get them, thanks for reading!!!!
